Entry 3- Timeline of Plan

My next idea for the process, is to create a timeplan of events that I will try and stick to each week/ month. This enables me to have some sort of order to the course, so I can have a plan to stick to.
It is important for me to realise that there are indeed limitations with my project such as, cost and availability of materials, time, and easy access to software and hardware so I must take these into consideration when making the time plan

Entry 2- product audience

Audience appeal:

============

Which age group/ or people interest would my product be best suitable for?

PRIMARY SOURCE:

After describing my MAIN idea to a few people of my age group the results I got for this question are as so:

Surveyor

Age group

1 -

9-14

2 -

15-20

3 -

21+

The feedback I got from my result was that as you can see majority thought most suitable for middle aged adults, however one piece of really constructive advice I got was that it would be a smart idea to make the different shelf and covers according to different age group so that there is a range. I found this idea extremely useful and am thinking of putting it in to place :). For example:

For children, to incorporate pencil holders, make the covers colouful with cartoons.

For teenage girls, perhaps small holes for earrings, or maybe even little clips for pictures.

For adults, a simplistic monotone colour design? Geometric shapes, with holders such as for a compartment for phones, post it notes. Business purposes. A slot for folders.

and many more in different themes.

Entry 1

We were given a task to think up of 3 project ideas, and to describe in full detail what the project idea was. It should include what 2 or more media of ICT we will use to achieve it, what we will be creating, and who we are making it for.

These are my ideas:

1. Small Shelf With self designed material cover

My first project idea is to create a new, modern, original style shelf which can be used for multi-purposes. I will be using MDF wood (medium density, easy to work with), to create the main structure of the shelf, and the originality/creative aspect comes in when making it a soft cover designed and made with soft (environmentally friendly) cottons with embroidery design, which would be appealing to its buyers. ^ The two methods of technology in which I will be presenting the process and research of the final product would be to design the shelf's' shape and dimensions on design software such as Design Tech V2. As well as possibly making a website using Google sites with details, images , advantages of the product, its cost, sales, materials, and catchy slogans? For this to succeed I would need to make many mini products instead of just one big one. Each small table shelf would have a different theme and design. Gives the customers a range.

2. Energy sports drink

Secondly, although I think this may be difficult to achieve, I would like to challenge myself and create a sports/energy drink, with simple ingredients (may need shelf form chemistry faculty to figure out cohesive combining ingredients). Or alternatively I could make a shake or juice with just fruits and vegetables, as I know this would be much easier. In order to do a sports drink, I would have to do extensive research about which chemicals, and flavours are common and I would need to set some boundary for a budget as well, because most ingredients I would need would be quite expensive. However this could also come under one of my sources of technology which is a spreadsheet of expenses. The other type would be to design the bottle on software. It may also be useful to create a brochure or a leaflet to advertise the features of the juice/drink. (Consider things such as enhancing the health factors in the description.)
The weak thing about trying to do this project idea is that it would take a long time to complete in full/professional standard. I will research the properties of different fruits, and make sure that I put them on the bottle because customers would have to know what they're drinking.

3. Art Work Website

A website, with images and descriptions of my/my classes artwork, which explains processes and techniques and all the things we have learned. (possibly a page for each person in the class) Technology incorporated by adding discussion boards, links, and maybe a rating system. This would be useful as I could select people 'I know' at first to view the site (drop down menus), and I would be able to collect feedback through the discussion boards, which would be constructive for my Art course, and gives us a good way to improve and view comments.I'm not sure how to do many of these things at this stage, however a major part of my project will be to go out and find ways, and sites where I can do so.
Focus on making the website:

Attractive

Descriptive

..and appealing to a young audience
